Here are the Top 300 skaters to own in your points-only keeper league, February edition.

 

Remember, this is a points-only format ranking and while I try to properly blend immediate results with long-term potential, individual team needs are going to be different. I would suggest using the +/- 5.0 rating points format – players within +/- 5.0 ratings of each other should be considered equal and would depend on your needs and preferences.

    You seem low on both Barkov and Trocheck to me. Both are about PPG producers this season, have done that or close to it for two or more seasons, and are around the age of 25. Yet they barely crack your top 50 overall, and are ranked below several significantly older players (4-5 years or more). They seem to be producing at very similar rates of production right now compared to the players above them, outside of the elite guys at the top. Care to share your rationale?

      Trocheck – He just keeps surprising. Nobody saw this kind of upside and every time I move him higher, he keeps exceeding expectations. I originally, as a prospect, had him at 65 point upside! The more he does, the higher he moves.

      Barkov – well, these points-only leagues count injuries. So playing 60 games and getting 60 points means you’re a 60-point guy. There’s no IR. So that hurts him.

        Makes sense. Thank you!

        Trocheck surprised me too tbh. I own both him and Barkov in a keeper league with lots of peripheral stats, and he has been very useful for those. But I don’t think anyone expected this level of point production until now… Fair point on Barkov. If he can stay healthy he could be an 80 – 85 point player. But we haven’t really seen that yet.
