The DobberHockey panel makes their second-round selections for the 2018 Playoffs.

With postseason action set to resume in just a few hours, it's time for a fresh round of picks from the writers and editors that make up the DobberHockey panel.

For a brief analysis of the first round results, let's mention that, individually, none of the writers went 8-0 in their selections but that six of them did come close with 7-1 showings: Dobber, Michael Clifford, Mario Prata, Cam Robinson, Christopher Kane and Chris Liggio. Meanwhile, consensus-wise, the panel finished with a 6-2 record as the series wins by Washington and Vegas weren't initially anticipated by the majority. So, without further ado, here are the Round 2 matchups:

Eastern Conference
Tampa Bay Lightning (A1) vs Boston Bruins (A2)
Washington Capitals (M1) vs Pittsburgh Penguins * (M2)

Western Conference
Nashville (C1) vs Winnipeg Jets (C2)
Vegas Golden Knights (P1) vs San Jose (P3)

And, just below, the Round 2 picks with the Consenus board included in the bottom row. Of particular note there, the exciting expansion Vegas Golden Knights, whom the majority of writers see as a favorite to move on to Round 3 with a sound win over San Jose:
