The 2007 trade deadline was the kind of day we expected to see. Big names moved to big markets. Small names moved to small markets. And the ribs of Oilernation were once again cracked and the heart of the team torn out, still beating... so to speak. But wallowing in depression after losing Captain Canada hasn't stopped me from letting you know all about the young guns moved February 27th.
Peter Forsberg is a great player who has often been injured. The Nashville Predators picked him up thinking he would put them “over the top” to win the Stanley Cup. For Nashville, it was a gamble that they thought was worth it. The addition of Forsberg made many fantasy owners scramble for his new teammates such as Alexander Radulov.
The Band-Aid Boys List - updated!
You've heard me talk about 'em. You've often wondered if I just pull them out of a hat (or perhaps, a certain body oriface). Nope. I get 'em off this list. A DobberHockey staple since 2005.
Definition of "Certified": The player is virtually guaranteed to miss games and is a significant risk to miss 12 or more.
Definition of "Trainee": The player has shown signs that he could become Certified. He is probably going to miss six or seven games in the coming season and has some risk of suffering an injury that will cost him 12 or more.

Ah, being to resigned to failure. While many of your fellow poolies will be gearing up for a league title, you, my failing friend, are at or very near to the bottom. Several individuals in the same boat have put out their plea for more information on some sneaky steals they can partake in at the draft table. I'm more than happy to oblige. Just suck less next year, will you?

It has been a week since the trading deadline, and already several of the trades are impacting the playoff positions in the Western Conference.
While Detroit was consistently winning, they were paying the physical price for it. Many of their top players have taken a beating throughout the season. The repeated hits have taken its toll on the team. The latest injury was to Tomas Holmstrom, who is reported to be out indefinitely. At the trade deadline, the Red Wings added the infamous power forward Todd Bertuzzi in the hopes that he adds the much needed muscle to fight back.
A ton of deals on Tuesday and it is time to analyze the fantasy impact of some of the player movement, starting with the biggest changes (not necessarily for the better, either).
