Welcome back to Forum Buzz, where I peruse the DobberHockey Forums and weigh in on active, heavily debated, or otherwise relevant recent threads, reminding folks just how great a resource the Forums are. Nearly anything might be covered here, other than trades and signings, which usually get their own separate write-ups on the main site [...]
Very little movement here, though we did have a big drop from Scott Wedgewood, whose career history as a backup and outlook this season with some reduced volume shifts him down below the main starters and slightly better backup bargains. He’s being drafted as though he’s not a career backup in his mid-30s, but instead [...]
After not occurring in the 2025 offseason due to what were perceived as too few uncertainties in terms of starting goalies, my annual poll on goalie battles returns for 2026, as the landscape suggests there are enough teams where the starting goalie picture is anywhere from somewhat unclear to downright murky. The way the poll [...]
Even less movement among the goalies than there were with the players, as there were only a few that weren’t already locked up or signed to extensions, and even fewer that changed teams in any way that greatly impacted their fantasy value. Two seasons ago, Jakub Dobes was the Habs’ number-four goalie, and was on hardly anyone’s fantasy radar. Now, at 24 years old, he is the undisputed [...]
Some excellent performances thus far by Brandon Bussi and Karel Vejmelka (your league leader in Wins) along with injuries to Thatcher Demko, Anthony Stolarz, Pyotr Kochetkov, and more, has led to some big ranking swings at this point in the year. With goalies that’s what you can expect, both in-season, and across multiple years. Stick [...]
