Sheldon Souray has been activated off of IR by the Oilers. Expect him back next game. Roy, by the way, cleared waivers and was assigned to Springfield.  If Haydar clears, then apparently Atlanta has 10 games to make a move, so he can stay on the roster. This may just be setting the table for something [...]

Kevin Weekes will get the start for New Jersey today.  Michal Nylander and Chris Clark will not be in tonight's lineup. My article in today's Hockey News is up...  Jussi Timonen has been traded to the Stars for a fifth round pick. This does not have any fantasy impact. I think it's a joke that Dominik Hasek was [...]

Last night I watched the PHO-NSH game and Radulov had two points, including the final NSH goal. However, this morning I see that they gave his goal to Fiddler, so he had a one-point night, not two as I stated below.  Bryan Berard was a minus-3 last night. That won't impress Nolan...but he still was out [...]

The Canucks, unhappy with his minus-4 last night and minus-7 on the season, have assigned Ryan Shannon to Manitoba. He has the same points this season as Naslund, who is a minus-6...but Naslund is a proven commodity whereas Shannon is still finding his way in the NHL. Losing 8-2, someone had to take the fall, [...]

Alexei Ponikarovsky has injured his leg in the morning skate. Simon Gamache and Anton Stralman have been called up from the Marlies. Gamache will play on a line with Tucker and Stajan. If you have a roster spot where the pickings are slim...and you have a 'what the hell?' attitude...give Gamache a one-game look-see. He [...]

The Isles have finally and officially signed Bryan Berard to a contract. He is most definitely worth a pick up in your roto league asap. Not so much in keepers, because of his injury risk. I sat on that bum for nearly three years... and NOW he looks good?  The Hossa news is a huge opportunity [...]

Jon Sim sprained his knee on Saturday and Jeff Tambellini has been recalled. It will be Tamby's chance to redeem himself.  AM 640, TSN and Kukla's Korner are all reporting that Leaf forward Jason Blake has leukemia. It is very treatable and he is currently taking pills for it, so that is very good news.  Tomas Vokoun [...]
