Dobber’s offseason fantasy hockey grades – Arizona Coyotes
For the last 12 years over at The Hockey News, I have reviewed each team from a fantasy-hockey standpoint and graded them. Now that I am no longer with THN, my 13th annual review will appear here on DobberHockey. This is not a review of the likely performance on the ice or in the standings, but in the realm of fantasy hockey.
Enjoy!
Fantasy Outlook – The Coyotes have a group of defensemen with a lot of potential, but nobody has shown it other than Oliver Ekman-Larsson. The crop of non-rookie forwards is one of the worst groups in the league. And the goaltending is weak. The only bright spot is the pipeline. Besides Strome, Domi, Duclair and Lessio, the team also boasts Brendan Perlini, Christian Dvorak, Nick Merkley and Maxim Letunov. You can read up on these prospects from a fantasy standpoint – right here.
Fantasy Grade: D+ (last year was C)

Elan and Brian disagree on what to do about a red hot Alex Ovechkin, celebrate the delayed arrival of one Oiler while waiting for another, consider forgiveness for a handful of goalies, and get panicked about a trio of power-play defensemen.
Henrik Samuelsson can't get any love on Dobber? He has all the tools to be a big contributor on this team and he is currently working on his only real weakness, his skating. I find he rarely receives any attention or is simply 'forgot' about when anybody discusses the future outlook of the Coyotes.
