Brad Boyes a Blue

The Boston Bruins have traded underachieving sophomore Brad Boyes to the St. Louis Blues for rearguard Dennis Wideman.
Boston: the Bruins picked up an offensive rearguard in 23-year-old Wideman. They gave up one earlier in Paul Mara.
St. Louis: Rebuilding is in full swing. They acquire last season's rookie story in Brad Boyes. He has had a bad year this go-around, but not so bad that he cannot bounce back. The Blues were wise to pick him up, thus following Dobber's "Buy Low" theory.
Fantasy Players Impacted: Wideman will be another two years before he will be a fantasy asset, and that will not change in his new environment. Boyes gets a new start, which is always good. With Guerin and Tkachuk out of there, Boyes and rookie David Backes will see significant ice time.
