For those of you who are kicking yourself for not snapping up this year’s premier dark horse (Colorado’s Paul Stastny) in last summer’s draft, here are three early candidates for next season:

Bertuzzi will play on a line with Datsyuk and Holmstrom. The Sens have signed Nick Foligno to an entry-level deal. Even though his upside is 65 points, he rocketed up my fantasy prospects list to #39 because I really believe he will be in the NHL next year and you might see a decent 40-45 points [...]

Mike Richards will be out for the next 7-10 days with a slight shoulder separation. He has been very hot of late, so this is unfortunate. However, his stats will stay crappy for this year as a result, which makes him a cheaper pickup in the summer in both keeper leagues and one-year pools.  TSN [...]

Again this week I find myself struggling to come up with a topic worthy of a full column. With very little left to address in regards to the regular season pools there isn’t much that hasn’t been addressed already, and without knowing the playoff teams and/or match-ups, it is almost pointless to start making projections and forecasts as to their outcomes.

This leaves me spinning my mental wheels as to what I can amaze you with this week, and the result is my first ever Top 10 list.

Tomas Kaberle will return on Friday. The Leafs decided to be cautious with him. Rick DiPietro practiced today, and should be tonight's starter. It will be a game time decision, but it is looking good.  Fantasy Goalie Rankings have been updated. Interesting stat - Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo have each faced exactly 1956 shots. What are the [...]

When Edmonton Oilers general manager Kevin Lowe traded away Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders at the February 27 trade deadline, he did more than just send the heart and soul of the team packing. I think he accidentally packed Edmonton’s goal scoring into that suitcase.

Goalie rankings have been updated...  Three sets of Keeper League rules are posted. See "starting a pool" on the left menu.  Tomas Kaberle is now looking like a real possibility for the Leafs in terms of playing in the game against the Devils on Tuesday. Stay tuned... Pavel Datsyuk has 66 points in his last 46 games. Imagine [...]

One of the worst decisions in the history of minor league management has finally been reversed. With the Tampa Bay Lightning's farm down to little more than a stable, and Falcons management fed up with sub-par prospects, the Edmonton Oilers have finally found a home for their cacophony of kids. So what does this move mean for prospects on both sides? And how does it impact your keeper league?
