MAY's edition of the Top 300 Fantasy Player Rankings have been updated. If ever there was a time where these players are ranked without being influenced by playoff value, it is the May version. As well, all the players who were penalized for missing games due to injury have had their values reset – since missing 10 games in 06-07 doesn't really matter when we're talking about 07-08, does it?

Top Fantasy Defensemen Rankings have been updated for May.

Sean Avery had eight shots on goal yesterday and had his best game of the series.

Alexei Yashin would like to stay put, and will give up the C if that is what it takes. He does not want to be bought out. A decision on a buyout must be made by June 30.

San Jose media is speculating that Bell will be a healthy scratch again, while Joe Pavelski will be back in the lineup.

Teemu Selanne has three points in three games this series but was held without a shot on goal yesterday, drawing the ire of coach Randy Carlyle.

Sami Salo returned to the lineup yesterday and played over 20 minutes.

Rory Fitzpatrick sat out with an undisclosed injury. No word on how long Kevin Bieksa will remain out.

As I alluded to several days ago, Tomas Holmstrom will sit out Game 3 with his eye injury. Game 4 is even a question mark. Brett Lebda is targeting Game 5 for his return.

Shea Weber has been suspended for three games at the World's for elbowing Germany's Yannic Seidenberg in the head.

Word out of Calgary is that Matt Lombardi has signed a contract extension. Stay tuned for that one to become official.

The people have spoken. Here is the design for the new dobberhockey shirt:
