The series that's an early favorite to win both the Sexually Provocative Headline and Introductory Paragraph Awards here at Dobber Hockey continues today with a look at Teams Finalnd and USA. Both teams had a lot to play for at the World U18s, which wrapped last Sunday. For Team Red White and Blue, it was all about the Gold. And for Finland, it was the chance to suck less than their opponent.

Goalies Proving Their Worth

 Poolies tend to shy away from goaltenders that fall on their faces in the postseason. Even if their pool does not have a separate playoff element and goes strictly by regular season statistics, for one reason or another, weak performers in the playoffs fall in value.

Tomas Holmstrom told the Swedish press that he will not play before Game 4 at the earliest.  The Red Wings shuffled their lines in practice. You could see the following combos, if Babcock goes with them in game action: Lang with Samuelsson (why hasn't he been scratched yet?) and Hudler. Filpulla with Bertuzzi and Franzen.  Henrik [...]
