Anton Babchuk signed to play in Russia next year.

Bill Watters said on the radio this morning that his sources indicate that it will be Chris Drury that the Sabres will be focused on keeping.

Watters also speculated that the Leafs will be trying hard to get Ryan Smyth and he believes that they will be successful, regardless of the stupid contract that they will give him (speculated to be five years at $5.5 million per). That would effectively tie Toronto's hands for five years, guaranteeing that they will be an eighth place team for a few years yet. No Cups though. But then, they don't care about Cups. Just attendance and revenue.

Finally, some information for you. Todd Bertuzzi has back spasms (you know – that area of the body that he had major surgery on back in October/November). He missed the last part of Sunday's game and is questionable for tonight. If he does not go, Jiri Hudler will get into the lineup.

Three men will return for second interviews for the Phoenix GM job. Don Maloney, Kevin Cheveldayoff (the GM of the Chicago Wolves) and an undisclosed person.

Jordan Leopold has signed a two-year extension with the Avalanche. This coming season we'll finally see what he can do. An excellent dark horse defenseman.

Randy Robitaille has signed to play with Lokomotiv in Russia. He was doing pretty well under Ted Nolan, so this comes as a bit of a shocker.

Aleksander Suglobov has signed to play in Russia next season. Uh oh, now the Leafs are in trouble.

Tomas Mojzis saw the writing on the wall. With EJ joining the Blues, and McKee back from injury, he knew he wasn't going to be in the NHL this year either. He signed to play in Russia.

Chicago's Jonas Nordqvist has signed to play in Sweden next  year.

New Jersey's Tomas Pihlman has signed to play in Finland next year. Zero fantasy impact.

It looks like Timofei Shishkanov has not yet come to his senses. He signed to play another year in Russia.

Mark Popovic is signed to a one-way contract, so there is little question that he will finally make the Thrashers next season. He'll man the blueline on the PP along with Zhitnik.

The Penguins are closing on on re-signing veterans Gary Roberts and Mark Recchi.

From the Post-Gazette: While he was in Moscow, Shero asked the agent for former Penguins forward Aleksey Morozov about his status, but Shero does not expect to see him back in a Pittsburgh uniform. "He has a year left on his contract over in Russia, which I believe he can get out of, but I'm not even sure because the agent didn't seem sure," Shero said.

Elizabeth and Lewis reunite to bring you all the latest fantasy news and strategy, such as how our siblings would fare if called on to fill our roles like Owen Sillinger did for bro Cole. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

Keeping Karlsson: Tuch Hunch

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
