The Miami Herald is reporting on a rumor that Alex Auld is considering a contract offer from a team in Europe.
Joe Dipenta has re-signed with the Ducks. I don't know if Brian Burke would have made that happen if he wasn't fairly certain that Niedermayer would retire.
The rumors continue to swirl that the Islanders have an interest in either Josef Vasicek or Jason Allison to shore up one of the top two center spots.
Standouts for Team USA's development camp (that just closed) were Patrick Kane and James van Riemsdyk. Kyle Okposo also played well.
