I don't know if you noticed, but I have a new feature at The Hockey News. My Wed article has been moved to Fridays and my new feature every Wednesday is now the Fantasy Mailbag. Check out this week's edition here.

Maxime Talbot will miss at least the next three games with a high ankle sprain. This is devestating for the Pens, as he was one of their better players this season. He injured it almost three weeks ago, but had been playing on it taped up. He tweaked it in practice and will sit out until at least Nov.30

Patrick Elias has played center for the past two contests. He's already C/LW in Yahoo anyway. He's been playing with Gionta and Parise.

Chuck Kobasew has eight points in his last eight games. It seems as if he has found his groove in Boston.

Tomas Kaberle has 14 points in his last 15 contests.

Tim Connolly will be a game time decision for tonight. He'll play with Afinogenov and Kotalik if he goes.

New Washington combos: Kozlov with Ovechkin and Clark, Nylander with Fleischmann and Semin (as a RW), Backstrom with Pettinger and Laich.

John Michael Liles was a healthy scratch last night for the Avs. Seeing as they couldn't score last night, I'd expect him to be back next game. I warned you of this in my fantasy guide.

Jose Theodore gave up three goals on just 14 shots last night. The curse of my expert league goaltenders continues.

Owen Nolan scored twice last night, giving him three goals in three games after going scoreless prior to that. Looks like he's heating up.

Matt Lombardi was promoted to the top line last night, playing with Iginla and Tanguay. Langkow played with Moss and Huselius. Lombardi picked up an assist.

By the way, yesterday's COL-CGY game saw just 36 shots combined. I had a little rant about games like that in our forum two nights ago.

Curtis Sanford will get the start tonight.

Alex Auld cleared waivers and has been sent to the minors. The move creates a logjam in San Antonio, which likely means that Aebischer will play in Europe this season.

As I said yesterday – don't forget about today's expected fisticuffs and high PIM's matchup between the 'Nucks and Wild. Tough guy Mike Brown will make his season debut for Vancouver.

Sean Hill is expected to make his season debut for Minnesota in the game.

Joni Pitkanen has suffered a setback. After skating hard in practice he compained of soreness in his knee. An MRI showed nothing, but consider him day to day now.

Chris Osgood will get the start for the Red Wings today.

The Rangers have returned Nigel Dawes to the minors. Greg Moore was recalled to take his place.

Ryan Callahan is about a week away – look for him to return Sunday against Dallas or the following Thursday against the Islanders.

Todd Bertuzzi will be a game time decision tonight.

Ryan Carter was sent to the minors to make room for newly acquired pivot Brian Sutherby.

Tuukka Rask stopped 30 of 32 shots and came away with a win in his first career start. He was shaky at first but really settled in and impressed as the game went on. He won't play Manny Fernandez out of a job, but things look good for him becoming a full-time NHLer as early as next season.

Mike Smith will get the start Wednesday for Dallas today.

Nashville coach Barry Trotz is whining about Radulov's lack of defense. Just a warning – when coaches start whining about that for their offensive players, it usually means a benching is on the way. I guess they want him on their team to be a checker and a penalty killer…
