Someone requested in the forum that I note when I have an article elsewhere, so I will try to remember to do that. I have an article up today on Tobias Enstrom over at The Hockey News . As always, I'll re-post the article here in a couple of days.

Brett Sterling is making the AHL his toy again, potting six goals and 11 points in his last five AHL contests.

To clarify the Frolov statement below, he was put on IR to make room for Quick. But the move was retroactive which means he will be eligible to play after missing next game. That doesn't necessarily mean he will be back after next game, it just means that he will be allowed to do so if the Kings activate him.

The top 300 fantasy players are now fully entered. Know what I did different from yesterday? If you do, tell me, because as far as I know I did everything the same… just this time the full chart was able to save. Good ol' computers.

I should add – it was originally announced that Halak was recalled because Price has the flu. That is true, but it's Huet's injury that has made this recall happen. Halak may get into the Tuesday game – maybe – but Price may still start it and I don't see the flu keeping him out of any games after that.

Cristobal Huet has a groin injury and the Habs have recalled Jaroslav Halak. Carey Price owners – this is what you have been waiting for. If he can string together a few starts over a short timeframe he could steal the No.1 job.

Sergei Gonchar had an extended practice yesterday – a good sign. He is still doubtful for tonight's game against Phoenix. Maxime Talbot will likely be in the lineup.

Cory Murphy, out since Nov.15 with a bruised shoulder, is not skating. An MRI showed no structural damage and he had believed that he was close to returning over a week ago. He started skating by himself a week ago, but stopped even that. Nobody with the club has any answers, both Martin and Murphy are quite frustrated.

Stephen Weiss will be back in the lineup for Wednesday.

If all goes well for Pascal Leclaire in practice this morning he will get the start tonight. He tweaked his hamstring last week.

Look for Jiri Novotny (concussion) to practice with the team by the weekend and play by early next week. He is 'getting better by the day'.

Freddie Modin is also feeling better (back spasms) and is also hoping to be back by early next week.

Both Andrew Brunette (flu) and Joe Sakic (groin) are questionable for tonight.

Todd Marchant was a healthy scratch last night.

Mathieu Garon continues to make a case for the starting job with his 4-0 victory last night. It was his second shutout of the season.

Alexei Zhitnik is slowly getting back into the Atlanta good books, logging 21:24 of ice time last game. He played 3:23 on the PP.

Dominik Hasek will get the start Tuesday.

Kris Draper (knee) is looking like he could return by the weekend or early next week.

The Bruins will reportedly not make Milan Lucic available for the WJC. The Penguins have already (of course) announced that Jordan Staal would not be available.

It is looking like Brandon Bochenski may be a healthy scratch next game. He is still without a goal this year and he's in the lineup to score.

Marco Sturm has one point in his last four games.

Despite it being the fourth goal in an eight-goal thrashing Saturday, Afinogenov was thrilled to score it because it was his first in 13 games. It was a nice looking goal so perhaps he has finally turned a corner.

He is a 'buy low' candidate right now because we all know what he can do.

With the questionable status of Jason Labarbera (ribs), the Kings have recalled Jon Quick from the minors. To make room for quick without putting Labarbera on the IR, the Kings put Alexander Frolov (groin) there. That really just means he will likely miss the next game.

Fernando Pisani played 12:43 in his first game of the season.

Washington farm club Hershey have announced that they have released Jakub Klepis. He wanted to return to Europe, so they let him.

The Islanders recalled Jeff Tambellini because Bandaid Boy Shawn Bates has a hip injury.
