I write an article every Thursday for the Score Forecaster called "Fantasy Spin". Not sure if any of my readers know this. Anyway, you can find today's piece right here

The Denver Post is speculating that Peter Forsberg will line up as a left winger this year. I can see Sakic with Smyth and Forsberg on the top line, followed by Stastny with Hejduk and Brunette. Arnason centers a strong third line with Wolski and Svatos. Nice 1-2-3 punch, if Wolski can get his act together.

The aforementioned Wolski was a healthy scratch yesterday.

Brett Clark is out for the season. He underwent shoulder surgery yesterday on a dislocation. He is out until July and should be fine by September.

The Lightning recalled Alexandre Picard as expected. He played nearly 20 minutes and logged a monster 3:40 on the power play. Keep him on your roto-league radar.

In a Head to Head league? As part of a special "Roto-Look Ahead", I added a chart at the bottom that gives you the teams with the best – and worst – schedule from March 10 through the end of the season. Apparently, in Yahoo! the playoffs for H2H leagues start March 10.

Rostislav Olesz played 22:12 last night, second among forwards to Jokinen. He saw 2:54 on the power play. He has six points in eight games since returning from his hand injury.

Pittsburgh winger Adam Hall underwent season ending hernia surgery. He could be back later in the playoffs.

Steve Bernier scored twice and added an assist in his Buffalo debut. He was put on the top line with Roy and Vanek. Ruff doesn't change his lines as much as Wilson did in SJ, so expect Bernier to flourish. He was also on the top power play.

So far it looks like Toni Lydman will take over for Brian Campbell, given his four points last night. However, Spacek saw more ice and PP time and Nathan Paetsch also saw decent PP time.

Martin Havlat left last night's contest with a – shoulder injury… the same shoulder. He did not return after the second period. This shouldn't matter to you, because had you listened to me you would have dumped him two years ago.

Ben Eager, out for the past month with a concussion, should return on Sunday.

Robert Lang missed last night's game with a groin injury, Petri Kontiola was recalled to replace him.

Pittsburgh line combos: Staal with Hossa and Malone. Malkin with Dupuis and Sykora. Roto leaguers: now is the time to take a flyer on Dupuis. Of course, Therrien changes his lines more than he draws a breath so it would only be a two or three game pickup I would say.

It looks as if Conklin will start again for the Pens, after his 50-save performance last game.

Since the All-Star game, Mathieu Garon is 6-5-0 with a 2.44 GAA and .927 SP. He will play his 11th straight contest tonight.

Atlanta rookie Colin Stuart was sent back down.

Maxim Afinogenov is said to be the "closest" out of Hecht and Stafford and himself. He is back practing, while Stafford isn't taking contact and Hecht is not skating at all.

Ryan Miller took a shot off the mask last night and was "woozy" and bloodied. He returned later in the game though.

Ladislav Nagy and Jason Labarbera will not make LA's four-game road trip. Nagy has been out with a neck injury and Labarbera has been out with a groin injury.

Here is a summary of The Fourth Period's thoughts on the trade deadline, of which I am a member of the panel.
