Daniel Carcillo will be back in the Phoenix lineup tomorrow.

Breaking News: Sidney Crosby will not play tonight. His ankle is bothering him. Do not be alarmed just yet, although this is not the greatest of news.

Sergei Zubov has been champing at the bit to get back on the ice and he could be back skating within a few days. If so, he could be back in the lineup next week.

Forsberg skated yesterday but did not play in the game. He is questionable for Thursday and a little more probable for Saturday.

Ryan Smyth is hoping to play on Thursday. His shoulder is much better and he hasn't been suffering from concussion symptoms. I was right to compare him to Shanahan's injury last season – this is much early than everyone expected.

It turns out that Ruslan Salei did not sustain much damage to the eye area and he could be back as soon as Thursday. Meanwhile, Jordan Leopold's neck is a little worse off than at first though and he will be re-evaluated today.

Colby Armstrong has five points in seven games for the Thrashers.

Chuck Kobasew, who played with Savard last night, has not scored since Feb.2

Zdeno Chara is still day to day with his upper body injury.

It looks like Spacek is out for the season (chest) and Kalinin is out for minimum two weeks (shoulder).

The Sabres recalled Mike Weber and they expect Henrik Tallinder back tonight. With this kind of inexperienced defense (Pratt, Sekera, Paetsch and Lydman are the others), the Penguins may have a field day tonight.

Daniel Alfredsson skated on his own yesterday but was not ready for action.

Carolina plays Chicago today, so Ruutu, Ladd, and Samsonov all have something to prove.

Dustin Byfuglien is pretty much a full-time winger now. He has 31 points in 56 games and 28 in the last 46. I think next year he's a 50-point guy…and if Yahoo and other online leagues still count him as a rearguard, you could really score big with him.

Chicago rearguard Duncan Keith has 27 points and is a plus-28. That's impressive. I think he, too, could be a 50-point player some day. He's just 24, still several years from his prime.

Corey Crawford stopped 44 of 46 shots last night in the loss. There is a good chance that Savard will come back with Crawford again tonight.

Ben Eager's MRI shows a partial dislocation in his shoulder and he is out indefinitely.

Fredrik Modin is hoping to return to the lineup Friday. He was back in practice yesterday.

Gilbert Brule was on a line with left winger Rick Nash and center Jiri Novotny in practice yesterday.

Toronto outshot Philly 55-25 in their OT win last night. Leaf fans are already planning the Stanley Cup parade route. This city is amazing… Some fans just don't get that winning all the games at the end of the season and finishing ninth actually hurts the team a lot.

Eric Belanger (cracked toe) could be out for the rest of the regular season.

Tomas Vokoun will get the start tonight.

Mike Van Ryn, Noah Welch and Jozef Stumpel are all ready to return to the lineup now. However, the Panthers do not want to upset things so they may just ease them back in one by one. It looks like Welch will be the first, then Stumpy.

Want to know why the Preds only scored once last night? Because Radulov was moved to a line with Nichol and Fiddler again. Why is he the one to get moved? Why don't they ever move Arnott or Dumont to a lesser line? Rads is the best offensive player on the team hands down.

Dan Ellis has started seven of the last eight games for Nashville and played very well last night, too, in the loss.

Max Talbot (ankle) will not play tonight for the Pens.

Petr Sykora (back spasms) is also out. The Pens recalled Ryan Stone and Connor James from Wilkes-Barre.

Evgeni Malkin is just 39.1 percent at the dot.

Here's a shocker: Marian Hossa absolutely loved practicing on a line with Sid the Kid yesterday. That being said, he will NOT be back in game action until Sunday at the earliest.

Steve Ott was suspended for three games for his hit on Jordan Leopold. The hit led to this fight with Ruslan Salei:
