Jack Johnson left last night's game early in the second period after taking a shot off the foot. My source tells me that he is out for the season… stay tuned while I find confirmation.

If you are a company interested in some great cheap advertising, I have two opportunities for you. One is a 30-second spot on Dobber Nation, our radio show. Another is – I need two more prizes for the upcoming DobberHockey playoff pool. See? Very low cost – but will reach the eyes and ears of THOUSANDS. Email me at dobber(at) dobberhockey.com for details.

Radim Vrbata is pointless in his last six games.

Glen Murray is pointless in nine.

Chris Neil will not be cleared to return to the Sens lineup this weekend.

Johan Franzen is on a seven game point streak and has 11 points in that span.

Patrik Elias will not get into the lineup tonight – his bruised kneecap is still too sore and now he has the flu as well.

Dan Ellis allowed three goals on eight shots and got the hook last night. Nashville has pulled their starter 11 times this year. Every 6.5 games or so, that's pretty bad. Mason will likely get the start next game and who knows how this goalie circus will end up. I just dropped Mason two days ago, so of course this happens.

Rick DiPietro has a hip problem that will require surgery. He is out for the season, meaning Wade Dubielwicz will play the final eight games.

Manny Fernandez has been cleared for full practice. He could step in and start a game or two, I'll let you know when that happens.

It turns out that Christensen has a sprained MCL that will keep hm out for at least a week.

The Sabres should get Teppo Numminen back. He has missed most of the season after heart surgery. His return would make Andrej Sekeras hurt for ice time, just days after I recommend the youngster.

In his NHL debut, Kyle Okposo played 14:45 and was pointless with two shots. He played 1:33 on the PP.
Paul Kariya has not scored in 17 games.

Dan Fritsche and Manny Malhotra are benefitting from playing with Rick Nash. The three combined for seven points last night.

Vesa Toskala allows this goal last night, you won't believe it:
