Todd Marchant missed yesterday's contest with a foot injury. He'll be fine for the playoffs.

Ryan Carter was back in the Anaheim lineup yesterday after missing 17 games with a broken wrist – he played at the expense of Doug Weight, who was a healthy scratch. All through the first round, Carter, Weight and Bobby Ryan will rotate being scratched until one of them steps up in a big way.

Jere Lehtinen, Brad Richards and Mike Ribeiro all missed yesterday's game with the flu.

Jonathan Cheechoo is back in the San Jose lineup. Ditto for Devin Setoguchi

Christian Ehrhoff has a lower body injury and is day to day. I think he will be okay for the playoffs.

As noted yesterday, Nabokov was pulled from yesterday's game because it was so rough that wilson didn't want him being run at.

In that game, Jody Shelley had 41 penalty minutes.

Mark Parrish was a healthy scratch in four of the last seven games, but played yesterday. Be wary of him in the postseason.

Tomas Holmstrom was back in the lineup and played just under 14 minutes.

I missed this yesterday, but Justin Abdelkader played the last two games for the Red Wings. He is ranked low in my propsect rankings (176) only because power forwards take several year to produce fantasy-worthy points. He will move up this list next update.

The following players sat out yesterday to "rest":
Sidney Crosby, Brian Rafalski, Chris Chelios, Jeremy Roenick, Mike Grier.

Injury rundown, for teams who are done for the summer:
CHI – Martin Havlat (shoulder) will be fine for training camp…but will he ever truly be fine? One more of these and he's about done. Ben Eager (shoulder) plays the game hard and is boom or bust for PIM lovers next year.
CBJ – David Vyborny (flu) I would say he is off to the Czech League next year. Jiri Novotny (thigh). Fredrik Modin (head). Dan Fritsche (broken hand)
STL – Martin Rucinsky (back) probably won't be back next year in the NHL. Mike Johnson (shoulder) is a UFA – given how tough he had it finding an NHL team this year, I wonder if he can find one next year.

Check yesterday's ramblings for the big announcement on the Top Prize in the Playoff Pool. One thing – I am only allowing two entries per person. I did not want to put in a stupid rule like that, but I see some clowns pushing the envelope and putting in 10 teams, so I having the extra teams removed. Also, in the event of any ties – a random draw will take place (after the tie-breaker of course, which is least games played).
