John Grahame will not be in the NHL next year. Omsk got him. He will play in the RSL next season.
The Russian League was on fire yesterday – Chris Simon has signed with Vityaz Podolsk Chekhov. The likes of Alexander Korolyuk, Igor Radulov (Alexander's brother), Nathan Perrot and Oleg Kvasha all play there.
The Pens signed Keven Veilleux to a three-year entry-level deal yesterday. Veilleux is ranked 197 in my fantasy prospects list. He is this low primarily because he is a power forward and they generally take longer to pay dividends. However, he moves up slightly with this news.
Gary Roberts will be a game-time decision. I expect the grizzled warrior to be back.
Braydon Coburn is still not seeing 100%, but he will be in the lineup today. That, along with yesterday's Timonen news, is a huge boost for Philly.
Jaromir Jagr and the Rangers will start negotiations this week. As a Jagr owner in one of my keeper leagues, I would prefer that he play with a new NHL team…but at least the Rangers are better than say…Omsk.
Denis Arkhipov has signed to play another year in the RSL.
