The Caps signed promising prospect Oskar Osala to a three-year entry-level deal. Osala is ranked 290 on my prospects list and is fully profiled (from a fantasy standpoint) in my Fantasy Prospects Report.

Patrick Eaves has signed a three-year deal with Carolina. $4.2 million, which is a tad high for a Band-Aid Boy, but he's still young so there's hope.

The rankings are up. Sorry about the lateness. I question the wisdom of releasing my guides on the first of the month! Anyway, I usually don't spend a lot of time on the May and June rankings, because there is not a whole lot of new information to add. However, there are some updates: Brunnstrom, Leino have been added, the question marks surrounding Jagr and Russia, some upsides have been adjusted, etc. etc.

Rick DiPietro had a minor knee operation yesterday, catching the Isles off guard a little. Also, the team looks to be going with Joey McDonald as the backup.

The Sabres are expected to announce an affiliation with the AHL club in Portland, whom Anaheim left for Iowa yesterday (which is moving to Des Moines). If you can follow all that…

SPECTOR comments on rumors that Paul Maurice could coach the Florida Panthers, and how Omsk is trying so hard to get Jagr that they are rumored to have included an offer to sign any three players of his choosing to seal the deal.

Anaheim Ducks cannot sign Corey Perry to a contract until July 1, due to the "tagging rules". As such, he will be exposed to offer sheets.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – Thanks for Vejmelkmories

Elizabeth and Lewis reunite to bring you all the latest fantasy news and strategy, such as how our siblings would fare if called on to fill our roles like Owen Sillinger did for bro Cole. Then it’s onto news including coverage of the postponed CGY/LAK game and defensive injuries piling up in MIN and putting some strain on Gustavsson’s performance. Injuries and outjuries include a pair of goalies returning to their teams in Ingram and Shesterkin, as well as how Monahan’s wrist injury opens the door for big minutes for Fantilli. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

Keeping Karlsson: Tuch Hunch

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
