Which NHL player loves DobberHockey? Check the boards out!!!! Cliff Fletcher confirmed that Ron Wilson has verbally accepted the job as coach of the Leafs.  Ron Wilson is closing in on an agreement with the Leafs and he will apparently be announced as coach on Tuesday. The contract will be for several years, so that Wilson has [...]

The Edmonton Sun is reporting that Riley Nash is impressing in development camp. The 19-year-old two-way pivot is three years away from making the big club, and should be a second-line center. He is fully profiled in the Fantasy Prospects Report, and currently ranks 69th on the Fantasy Prospects List. Tomorrow, Blake Wheeler becomes a free [...]

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Malkin was fighting a virus for the first week and a half of the Final and he had trouble keeping food down. That explains a lot.  As expected, both Bret Hedican and Glen Wesley have retired. Hedican may latch onto a team in California, but his hip is so [...]

The Ottawa Sun is reporting that Andrej Meszaros turned down a pretty big offer to play next season in the RSL - over $3.5 million per season. He is an RFA this summer. The Kings traded offensive blueliner TJ Fast to St. Louis for a fifth round pick. Fast is not considered for my Fantasy Prospect [...]

The goalie talent has spread across the league over the past few seasons, with the majority of teams moving their strong backups to clubs where they now start. Goalies like Toskala, Bryzgalov, Garon and Smith have all been handed the reigns between the pipes. There are a few teams this off-season with some questions to answer with regards to their respective goaltender situations, and here are the five most interesting.

The Caps signed promising prospect Oskar Osala to a three-year entry-level deal. Osala is ranked 290 on my prospects list and is fully profiled (from a fantasy standpoint) in my Fantasy Prospects Report.  Patrick Eaves has signed a three-year deal with Carolina. $4.2 million, which is a tad high for a Band-Aid Boy, but he's still [...]

Anaheim will be affiliated with a new AHL team in Des Moines next season. The Iowa Stars, who ended their agreement with Dallas, will move to Des Moines. No word on what Portland, Anaheim former affiliate, will do.  The Lightning have fired coach John Tortorella. Frankly, I would prefer he coach the Leafs over Ron [...]

The French version of the Fantasy Prospects Report - Le Guide des Espoirs de Dobber, Édition 2008 is now ready for download.  Sami Kapanen has signed to play in the Finnish League next season.  A great way to start the week if you're a fantasy sports company. The U.S. Supreme Court announced today that it will not [...]
