Islanders Sign Mark Streit
Dobber Sports
2008-07-02
The Islanders have signed Mark Streit to $20.5 million over five years.
There is room for the power-play specialist to play on the left side and he also represents the best candidate to QB the power-play. Since no Islander will notch 60 points this season, with the exception of perhaps Mike Comrie, Streit will probably top out in the low 50s.
Streit is a "sell": 46 to 54 points.
