I don't know what I was thinking and I apologize for the misinformation. Ryan Vesce, the undrafted minor leaguer whom San Jose signed, is actually a right winger, not a defenseman. When I did my research on him, I mixed him up with another player. As a right winger, it is likely that he was signed to replace Mike Iggulden in the Worcester lineup and he holds very little fantasy value. Those in deep keeper leagues – please excuse my mistake earlier. Must be the beer killing my brain cells.
Scott Gordon, the AHL coach of the year and new head coach on Long Island, has previously coached former Bruins prospects Ben Walter and Andy Hilbert. As such, Walter should get a longer look and Hilbert could see top-six minutes.
I wrote yesterday's Fantasy Spin. I forgot to mention that, you can find it HERE …
The Sharks signed Lukas Kaspar and Ryan Vesce to one-year contracts. Kaspar is a power forward with decent (high 60s) upside. You won't see productin from him for a couple of years yet though. Vesce is an offensive rearguard who will probably not get into the lineup unless Boyle gets hurt. He had 44 points in 56 games in the Finnish League last season.
Marty Murray has signed with Manchester of the AHL. He was in the Swiss League last year.
