Ladislav Nagy has signed to play in the KHL. Fzusher in our forum reported this a week ago. Nagy is still recovering from a neck injury, so I wonder if he will be able to play right away. He's is probably gone from the NHL for good. And so ends a promising fantasy player. Despite all the promise, his career high was 57 points. I called him the most underrated fantasy player in the league back in 2003, and he wound up with 52 points in 55 games that year. He followed it up with 56 in 51, and things went downhill.

The Tennessean is reporting that the Preds have given Alexander Radulov until Sept. 1 to decide whether to play in Nashville or Russia, else he will be suspended. Methinks he made that decision already. "We would re-address it next year if he wants to come back," Poile said. On Thursday, IIHF Communications Director Szymon Szemberg said the federation's ruling might wait until the Sept. 4 meeting scheduled between the relevant national member associations, including the NHL and KHL. That meeting — to continue discussions regarding a transfer agreement between the Russian and North American leagues — may be in jeopardy. "I don't know whether the Sept. 4 meeting will go forward or not,'' Daly said this week. "We are happy to discuss a possible transfer agreement, but the Radulov issue needs to be resolved first.''

Edmonton management reported laughed heartedly at the mention of trading Hemsky to Montreal. He's going nowhere – his talent is just scratching the surface and he's signed longterm to a reasonable salary. He stays.

The LA Daily News reports there's not much to report on the contract status of Kings RFA forwards Patrick O'Sullivan and Jarret Stoll, other than the club is closer to re-signing Stoll but the club isn't panicked with either situation.
