The Flyers have invited Bryan Berard to training camp. This is not a situation like in Long Island last year. On the Flyers, Berard would have to unseat a pretty good player to make it. Barring an injury, I doubt it will happen.
The Blackhawks have signed prospect Akim Aliu to a three-year entry-level deal. He is ranked 209 on my Fantasy Prospects List – he still loses his cool too much on the ice to make the NHL this season. Three years away.
The Rangers wasted little time in signing their third rounder from this year Tomas Kundratek to an entry-level contract. He is years away though.
The Coyotes/San Antonio made a couple of minor signings. Winger Adam Keefe was signed, as well as winger Simon Ferguson. Both are agitating-types with little NHL hope.
Randy Robitaille has signed to play in the Swiss League.
Diminutive undrafted prospect Colton Yellow Horn has signed to play in Europe this season.
Starting in mid-September, every Wednesday at 5:40 pm I will be a guest on the Bill Watters Show on AM 640 Toronto for a fantasy hockey segment.
