This week marks the debut of the "monkey". Dale McCarthy gives you his picks for Saturday's games, as well as his reasoning and info that you need to know!
As Brodeur's injury shakes the fantasy world, it is interesting to look at the New Jersey Devils schedule for that time period. If you assume he would be back to play on March 1 the Devils will have 50 games to play without counting the games he missed up until November 7. It is an even split with 25 home games and 25 road games. During that stretch they have 11 back-to-back games.
Angus here. Matt Carle has been dealt to Philadelphia for Steve Downie and Steve Eminger. Great news for Carle, not so good for the two going to Tampa Bay. Someone needs to tell the Lightning management that this isn't their NHL 2009 dynasty. Live in Canada? Sorry, you can't go to the NHL Winter Classic this season. [...]
I want to start off this week by talking about a player that I don’t think gets enough recognition in fantasy circles. Ryan Miller has seven wins in nine games, including two shutouts. His 1.62 goals-against-average leads the league and his 0.942 save percentage is second only to the never say die guy, Tim Thomas.
Paul Kariya has left the team and flown back to St. Louis. He will undergo an MRI and will miss tonight's contest with his lower body injury. David Koci will take his spot in the lineup, but more ice time will be given to Andy McDonald (double shifting). Ben Bishop will get the start tonight for [...]
What is going on here Ed? You have so many more young weapons around you, and you get your first point US Election Day? The season started a month ago man. Well maybe Jovo was just waiting to show his support for Barack. Regardless of the reason, this can't last.
The Sudbury Wolves have announced that the IIHF has awarded them their long-awaited transfer of Nikita Filatov. Now Columbus needs to make a decision. Filatov has not scored in the two games since returning to the AHL, so perhaps the team would prefer he develop this year in junior. Expect a decision this week. If [...]
The Bruins have sent down Vladimir Sobotka, which makes sense because he is a prospect who needs to play. Scott Walker has been activated off the IR. It will be interesting to see how this impacts the ice times of Samsonov, Ruutu and Eaves. Martin Gelinas has signed to play in the Swiss League. Teams could have snagged [...]
Now that the first month is in the books, it’s time to update Dobber’s 3-Tiered Hockey Pools.
