L’an dernier c’était Matt Cullen et Radim Vrbata.

Decided not to ramble yesterday because I got back later in the day and, it being a Sunday in mid-August, there was really nothing to talk about. Other than the Mats Sundin to New York rumor, that is. But if you have been reading me long, you will know that I'm not big on reporting [...]

The Boston Bruins are definitely a team to watch this coming season. They are young, fast, and deep at forward – helped by the return of Patrice Bergeron, and are solid on the back end. Tim Thomas proved last year that he is a legitimate NHL goalie. He has one year left on his deal in Boston, which will coincide nicely with the debut of heavily touted Tuukka Rask in 2009-2010. What can be expected from Boston this season? Read on…

The Tribune is reporting that Ryan Whitney played on a bad foot all last season. He gave up trying to skate on it and finally had surgery on it Friday. It was his left foot. On the bright side, last year's bad production is now explained. On the bad side - he will be off [...]

It just came to my attention that things were wonky in the "shop" page. I have fixed it. I apologize, some things got delisted and were not made available - I'm sure it confused more than one person. Sigh - fixed now! On the subject of apologizing - I'm sorry about that annoying flash ad that [...]

The Reason
Drafting is among one of the most important parts of fantasy sports. You can make smart daily or weekly lineup decisions, but it won't mean anything if you don't have good players. You can make smart trades for good players, but that will be nearly impossible if you have nothing of value to offer. The foundation of a fantasy team is built at the draft table, and putting in a little effort and planning ahead of time can launch you ahead of your competition.

Shawn Horcoff – Sniper?

Shawn Horcoff was on pace for a career season in 2007-2008, but it was unfortunately cut short due to injury. His numbers were much different than his career totals. His goal total for 53 games was 21, only one off of his career high – which he set in 79 games in 2005-2006. Does he have the talent to build off of those numbers, or was it an aberration?
