Pascal Leclaire will undergo surgery on his ankle and will be sidelined until the end of March. Meanwhile Steve Mason is battling back spasms and will miss the Young Stars Game this weekend.

Evgeni Artyukhin was given a two-game suspension by the NHL for a knee-on-knee hit. He was turning into that points/PIM stud that I had projected from him by tallying 43 PIMs and five points in 12 games prior to last night (his first game of the suspension).

Cory Murphy's debut in TB was a good one. He played over 23 minutes, picking up an assist and four PIMs. Seriously, grab him now. It may be temporary, but it should be fruitful for the time being.

Brendan Shanahan saw 14 minutes of ice time as well as some time on the top PP unit. He scored a goal in his first game of the season.

NJ line combos: Zubrus, with Elias and Gionta; Zajac, with Parise and Langenbrunner; Holik, with Rupp and Shanahan; Madden, with Rolston and Clarkson.

NSH line combos: Arnott with Erat and Fiddler; Legwand with Sullivan and Tootoo; Bonk with Dumont and Ward. This is bad for Dumont owners, but probably won't last.

The Oilers returned Ryan Potulny to the minors.

With the groin injury to Chris Campoli, the Islanders recalled Jack Hillen from Bridgeport. He only saw 10 minutes, but did man the second PP unit last night.

Trent Hunter missed last night's game with a hand injury. As a result, Okposo played nearly 22 minutes and scored a goal. It was his second highest ice time of his career.
