Dallas Claims Morrison
Dobber Sports
2009-03-04
The Dallas Stars have claimed pivot Brendan Morrison from the Ducks off of waivers.
The Stars get: a second-line center on the decline. Morrison has been playing better of late (21 points in his last 47 games), but still not up to second-line caliber where he should be. This is a move clearly forced because of the injury to Brad Richards.
Fantasy players impacted: a change of scenery usually helps players and Morrison will do better in Dallas. This definitely clears a spot for Andrew Ebbett – I give you the green light to snap up Ebbett for the stretch run, he should be good for at least 12 more points going forward, probably closer to 15 or 16.
