Whitney to the Coyotes

Fantasy Impact – Phoenix has signed Ray 'The Wizard' Whitney to a two-year contract worth $3 million per season.
The Coyotes get: A skilled veteran winger who can slot in on one of the top two lines. He probably won't unseat Wojtek Wolski on the top line for the Coyotes, though. I am surprised that this is all it took for Whitney. Whitney has four straight 20 goal seasons, and is only one year removed from a 24-goal, 77-point season with the Hurricanes.
Fantasy Players impacted:
The Coyotes will have quite a few new faces on their roster for 2010-11. Whitney will most likely slot in on the second line opposite Radim Vrbata and a center-to-be-named-later. Kyle Turris is an option, and Martin Hanzal may be elevated into a top six role as well. Whitney is a tremendous playmaker and will add a lot to Phoenix's top power play unit. It is unclear where Mikkel Boedker slides in – I see him on the third line with Scottie Upshall. I see Whitney's value dipping a bit – Phoenix doesn't have anyone close to Eric Staal's level up front, and he is getting up there in age.
Fantasy Players this helps, in order:
1. Shane Doan
2. Turris
3. Yandle
Fantasy Players this hurts, in order:
1. Whitney
