Fantasy Prospects Report – buy it here. This was updated yesterday – includes three rounds of an updated Mock Draft, five more '11 draftees profiled, and an added profile for an Ottawa prospect.

Want me to expand on my Top 20 Keeper Fantasy Forwards in the Draft (from the Prospects Report)? Right HERE, I go over it in The Hockey News

Happy Birthday to Jeff Angus! Have a good one buddy

Our friends over at Easton had some stats they are pretty proud of, I thought I would share:

  1. They were first in the playoffs for goals, assists and points in terms of players using their sticks vs. other sticks
  2. Mike Cammalleri led all first round players with 10 points – he uses Easton Stealth RSI
  3. David Krejci led all playoff scorers with 23 points – he uses Easton Stealth RSI
  4. Krejci and Devin Setoguchi were the only players to get a hat trick. Setoguchi uses the RSI as well.
  5. Teemu Selanne scored six goals in a single series – his stick is the Easton Stealth S19I

EXCLUSIVE: Today and tomorrow, at 1pm ET (11am MT), Matthew Bugg will be here via Live Chat for one hour each day to respond to your questions about the draft. This is a keeper league owner's dream – get the scoop from one of the better draft analysts out there, directly from the source. You can still review yesterday's live chat

Thoughts on Jagr – I think he'll sign with Detroit. I believe that Pens GM Ray Shero has indicated that he is not interested in having Jagr back in Pittsburgh, so I would say Detroit is the favorite, with the Habs after that and the Rangers next. I am convinced he will play in the NHL next year, but I absolutely would not consider him a 65-point guy. I think if you treat him like a 55-point player, you will be okay. Think Milan Hejduk when you think of Jagr, that should get your inner hype-machine to calm down.

San Jose announced that Scott Nichol and Jamal Mayers will not be returning next season.

Former Buffalo prospect Marek Zagrapan has signed to play in Finland next season.

It sounds as though Sean Bergenheim's agent is playing hardball with Tampa. Is this the same bozo who represented Bergenheim when he was just starting to break out for the Islanders…but then tried to play hardball and wound up in Europe for the season before meekly crawling back? If so, Sean would be wise to fire him. No hardball until you are established!

As a grammar guy, this stuff rubs me the wrong way. Another agent screw-up – most of these guys are just smooth-talking ex-jocks who are not right for the player. There are some good ones (Mike Gillis and Allan Walsh come to mind), but many agents are just terrible. Players (and parents) need to do their due diligence when deciding on one. Research him, talk to people, and educate yourself. In the past few weeks I've seen an agent go public with his anti-gay sentiment, another one screw up the grammar badly on Shea Weber's 'congratulations' note, and another one decide that Sean Bergenheim should be playing hardball instead of ensuring his well-being for life.

For those drafting Adam Larsson, it is unlikely you will see him in the NHL in the next season or possibly two, according to Adrian Dater.

Marc Savard is still suffering from post-concussion symptoms, per the Bruins Blog. I'm guessing he retires a year from now after holding out hope for the season.

In case you missed it, Puck Daddy did a great tribute to Mark Recchi, who was a key part of my 22-year keeper league team from (I'm guessing) Year 7 until about Year 13.

Next year's salary cap – $64 million dollars. The salary floor? $48 million bucks. Per CapGeek, 19 teams are under the floor. Florida's salary is $30 million under the FLOOR. Granted, they have a ton of players to sign before their roster is filled, but that's a lot of coin to play with. Carolina, Phoenix and Colorado are each about $16-$17 million under.

Are you pumped? Don't forget, I will be here Friday night – and Bugg will be live in Minnesota for the live chat during the draft:
