Fantasy Impact: Both Nikita Filatov and Evgeni Grachev were traded for picks today. Filatov went to Ottawa from Columbus for the 66th overall pick. Grachev went to St. Louis from the Rangers for the 72nd overall pick.
Fantasy Impact: The Edmonton Oilers acquired Ryan Smyth from the Los Angeles Kings for Gilbert Brule and a fifth-round pick. *Update - Gilbert Brule's health has concerned the Kings enough that the Oilers were forced to replace him in the deal. He and the fifth-round pick has now been replaced by Colin Fraser and a seventh-round pick.
Fantasy Impact: The Calgary Flames traded Robyn Regehr and Ales Kotalik (plus a second-round pick) to the Buffalo Sabres for Chris Butler and Paul Byron.
