Angus here – my fantasy hockey mailbag is open. Ask your questions here.

Fantasy Guide and Draft List were updated on Sunday. iPhone draft app too. Next update is Wednesday…and there will then be one final one on Friday. Also, regarding the occasional person who has problems with a "corrupt file" – it's not. It's your browser, the file is fine. Some versions of Firefox struggle opening some versions of Adobe, or so I've learned over the past month.

Chicago cut Alexander Salak and signed Ray Emery – potentially big implications. Emery may be worth stashing until December.

The Devils cut Matt Taormina, Alex Urbom and elected not to sign Steve Bernier. Rod Pelley and Matthew Corrente were waived along with Zharkov. No word yet on Petr Sykora and Anton Stralman. Adam Larsson has made the team. It would seem that Adam Henrique has as well.

Ryan Ellis was cut by the Preds today. Hillen is in.

The Sharks cut Justin Braun and Benn Ferreiro

Uh oh – Harding injured again. Ankle swollen – deets here.

Brunnstrom’s deal is a two-way agreement.

The Preds have placed Kyle Wilson on waivers.

No surprise – the Red Wings have signed Fabian Brunnstrom.

The Penguins have cut Joe Morrow. They also sent Jason Williams down and placed Sidney Crosby on the IR. Crosby, as such, can’t play the first three games.

The Devils have waived Vladimir Zharkov.

I am shocked that Keith Aulie has been cut by the Leafs. Jake Gardiner just beat him out for a roster spot, plain and simple. Matt Frattin also made the team. Gardiner is in a good situation, though, as he will be behind Liles and Phaneuf in terms of PP time. I didn’t expect Gardiner to make the team this year – not at all. His 3YP is 42 points, which pushes him just off the chart (to answer a question in the comments). His preseason performance obviously will cause some adjustments – next update is Wednesday morning.

Chicago has cut some more – including Marcus Kruger and Brandon Pirri. It looks as though Brandon Saad has made the team. Another job well earned! But if he stumbles at all in the first nine games, he’ll be sent down I’m sure (similar to Niederreiter last year). Still to come – the announcement regarding the winner between Salak and Emery.

RDS is reporting that Jonathan Huberdeau has been cut by the Panthers.

The Jets have signed Mark Scheifele to an ELC. No big shock, given his tremendous play in the preseason. I still have him penciled in for nine games this season.

Dobber favorite Cam Atkinson has made the Blue Jackets. And what's more – he's in the top six. Worth a waiver pick and ride him through what could be a couple of really good weeks. After that, all bets are off. As many rookies tend to tail off. He need only look no further than teammate Matt Calvert from last year, one of the guys he supplanted from the top six.

Joakim Anderson and Chris Conner were among Detroit's cuts before the game. And Nyquist? Three points on Sunday. Talk about wanting on the team badly…and the injury to Patrick Eaves (blocking a shot, undisclosed) probably helps. But, as is par for the course when we're talking about Detroit's system, Nyquist will be sent down. Ditto for Tomas Tatar. It looks like Brunnstrom made the team!

With Gilbert Brule getting waived and Teemu Hartikainen among four other cuts…both Anton Lander and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins have made this team. They will have a handful of games to prove that they belong before Ben Eager and Sam Gagner return from injury. I think Lander is in the NHL for good and he will Ryan Kesler his way from a defensive forward (this year) to a two-way star (in four years). RNH is good for nine games, in my books. And if he can get seven points or more in that span, how could they send him down? This one's up to him, my crystal ball is on the frizz.

Mathieu Perreault had a fantastic camp. I hope he sticks for the season, but to do that he can't taper off. He led the Caps in preseason scoring and "played with energy every night".

Disappointed to see Janne Pesonen not make the Jets. And Paul Postma did about all he could, too – but stuck behind too many puck-moving blueliners.

The Leafs cut Ben Scrivens, who I was hoping would take out Gustavsson. He's the better goaltender, but perhaps Gustavsson will get hurt again.

First preseason goal by the Nuge:
