Being only one week away from the trade deadline, it’s easy to get antsy about speculating which players might find themselves in a new home and what the residual fantasy value will be. Ryan Ma has put together a nice recap of Western Conference players and below we will take a look at players who may be on the move in the East.

Just a reminder to pick up the DobberBaseball Fantasy Guide, if you haven’t already.   Blake Wheeler has seven points in his last two games. He has 39 points in his last 41 games, breaking through in this his fourth NHL campaign.   I was asked on the weekend by a buddy what I [...]

Enjoy Hockey Day in America... any chance to celebrate this sport is a good one. It looks like NBC is splitting up its triple header by having back-to-back games on the main network, with the third tilt going on the NBC Sports Network.   Pretty effective exposure for the league, although hard-core fans [...]

On Tuesday the first part of the new series was released, because I mistimed the trade deadline you’ll get a mid-week special as we’ll take a look at the second instalment of players who could find themselves on a new team come Feb. 27th. TSN has pretty good coverage of the Western Conference teams, but it probably lacks a bit of fantasy analysis, so I’ll borrow some of their thoughts, but add that extra dimension to gives you Dobberites a clearer picture.

Wayne Gretzky scored 92 goals back in 1981-82. The LA Kings have 120 goals all season. A completely irrelevant comparison, sure, but still pretty funny.   The 2012 DobberBaseball Guide is now out - pick it up here.   Nicklas Grossman will be making his Flyer debut tonight, playing with Andrej Meszaros.   PK [...]

Short schedule from which to select my card this week, but nonetheless there are certainly some beauts that are ripe for the picking! Last week, I presented you my picks just after a brisk skate down the Rideau Canal, during my road trip to Ottawa from Toronto to see the Sens/Leafs contest lopsided pounding. Toronto thoroughly obliterated their provincial rivals in each and every facet of the game except SOG. However on that note, Optimus Reim was so in the zone that even a 49 shot barrage was converted into a goose egg, as the Leafs took it to the very team they are closest to chasing by a 5-0 score.
