The Dean's List would like to congratulate Sweden on winning the Gold Medal in a thrilling fashion against the defending champions, Team Russia, as both nations provided us prospect junkies with plenty of talented players to watch. Despite Canada not competing in a Gold Medal match for the first time in eleven years the Sweden-Russia final was just as exciting as if the Canucks were actually there. Happy Belated New Year’s Poolies!
It’s been quite a week in the NHL, with an even further intensified playoff race in both conferences coming to the forefront of late with Gary Bettman’s High Parity NHL. Should be another amazing winter of exciting meaningful hockey (for most teams) down the stretch!
After a solid 1 month run of going at over an 80% clip, I split my picks in half last column. This week I’m banking on yet another above .500 card. So without further ado….

Fantasy Impact: Montreal shipped out the underachieving Mike Cammalleri (along with KHL goaltender Kari Ramo and a 5th round pick) to Calgary in exchange for winger Rene Bourque, prospect Patrick Holland, and a 2nd round pick.

Some of you used them last year but for the benefit of new readers here is a refresher.
