Washington lost for the fourth time in their last five games after falling 4-1 to Boston yesterday afternoon. I can't remember a team full of talent fading so quickly.

Pascal Dupuis had another goal yesterday and that's now eight points in his last six games. He's following up his career year in 2011-12 with another strong run this season. Playing with Sidney Crosby will do that for you.

Devin Setoguchi had two goals and an assist with a plus-4 rating against the Avalanche Saturday afternoon. He now has points in eight of his last ten contests.

Somehow Ottawa keeps picking up points with all their injuries. Kyle Turris had two goals to power them past the Sabres 4-3. That was the 11th straight game decided by one goal for the Senators, which is just one short of the NHL record set by Chicago in 1997-98.

Ville Leino made his season debut on Saturday against the Sens. His crazy contract notwithstanding, Leino is worth keeping an eye on to see if he can inject some offense into that Buffalo line-up.

Martin St. Louis picked up his 30th assist of the season on Saturday. That's second in the NHL, behind only Crosby. St. Louis just keeps getting better with age and doesn't get enough credit for how he produces on a nightly basis.

Carey Price has a .925 save percentage over his last four starts, which were all wins. He has been aided by Montreal's ability to play with the lead this season. They have scored first in 21 of 28 games.

Joffrey Lupul returned against the Jets and had two goals after missing 25 games with a broken forearm.

Ben Scrivens was yanked after the second and the Leafs goaltending situation is really up in the air. There is no clear number one between James Reimer and Scrivens in Toronto, and neither can get into any sort of a rhythm.

Blake Wheeler is playing some outstanding hockey right now. He scored twice against Toronto and now has four goals and five points in his past three games. Wheeler is a pretty underrated skater and was using that to his advantage on Saturday night.

Don't look now, but the Blue Jackets have points in their last 10 games, and you can thank Sergei Bobrovsky for that. He has given up one goal or less in seven of his past eight starts. Still only 58% owned in Yahoo.

Brad Boyes has really benefited from playing with John Tavares and Matt Moulson this season. With a goal against the Panthers that gives him 24 points in 2013 and nine in his past seven games.

George Parros left the game for Florida with an upper-body injury after being slammed to the ice during a fight in the first period.

BREAKING NEWS: The Chicago Blackhawks are very good at hockey. Their game against Dallas on Saturday was close until the puck was dropped. The Blackhawks jumped out to a 7-0 lead and took it 8-1. Some of their younger players are starting to provide some secondary scoring as well. Brandon Saad had two assists on this night and now has eight points in his past six contests. Bryan Bickell also chipped in with three assists.

Derek Roy was the only Star who managed to survive the game without a minus rating.

Rookie Vladimir Tarasenko made his return from injury against the Ducks and had an assist.

Jake Allen had another strong performance stopping 27-of-28 shots. He now has an 8-1 record since being called up to the Blues.

Justin Abdelkader and Henrik Zetterberg each scored twice for the Red Wings as they beat the Canucks 5-2.

Damien Brunner found the score sheet for the first time in three games. He has cooled considerably since his quick start to the season. Brunner's ice-time has dropped significantly in recent games and he only had 12:23 against Vancouver.

Jakub Kindl has been a rock on the Detroit blueline this season. He picked up an assist and went plus-4 against the Canucks. Kindl would be a great pickup if you can scoop him in your league.

Alex Burrows was one of the few Canucks who came to play tonight. He was all over the ice and had both Vancouver goals.

Tough break for David Booth as he left the game with what looked like some sort of ankle injury and did not return. Booth missed the first 15 games of the season with a groin issue, so hopefully this one isn't as bad as it appeared to be.

Kyle Clifford with two goals for the Kings in their win over the Sharks. He's so great for PIM and hits, but if he can chip in with a little offense here and there that's a big bonus for poolies.

Slava Voynov now has six assists in his last five contents. Voynov is really picking up the slack from Drew Doughty's lack of points.

After their great start, the Sharks are barely hanging on at the moment. San Jose has lost six of seven.

Mike Ribeiro had his first career scrap Saturday. He got a couple of lucky punches in, but I feel Brad Marchand won the fight.

Could the Los Angeles Kings be a destination for Jarome Iginla?

Carolina claimed Adam Hall off waivers.

Kyle Quincey will require surgery on a fractured cheekbone he suffered Friday night against the Oilers. This may tempt Detroit to pursue Ryan Whitney who the Oilers have been shopping.

Some GM's want more overtime and less shootouts, writes Joe Yerdon of NBC ProHockeyTalk.

T.J. Oshie is not close to returning says Ken Hitchcock.

The Lockout has apparently taken a financial toll on Patrick Kane. He had to take a second job.

Even though Pavel Datsyuk hadn’t scored in 11 games, on Friday he reminded us that he is still Pavel Datsyuk.
