Calgary Flames Sign Jonas Hiller

Fantasy Impact: The Calgary Flames have signed goaltender Jonas Hiller to a two-year deal worth $9 million bones, per Bob McKenzie.
The Flames get: A proven No.1 goalie who struggled a little down the stretch last season, but he had star prospects practically pushing him out the door.
Fantasy Players Impacted: Hiller may be the undisputed No.1 in Calgary, but Kari Ramo may have something to say about that. The short term on this contract would certainly allow for Ramo to steal this job by March. Ramo had a great run from January onward in 2013-14.
The Flames aren’t going to win a lot of hockey games during the next two seasons, so Hiller’s value takes a hit. But hey – it’s better than signing on as a backup somewhere.
