– Seeing MacKinnon ahead of Duchene already may come as a surprise. I actually have Duchene with 73 points in the Fantasy Guide, and MacKinnon with 72. But MacKinnon is going to take a hell of a lot more shots and should be slightly higher in PPP, PIM and HITS.

– Pavelski through Seguin are ranked so closely that they are interchangeable. In fact, given the upside and potential for 90 points, you may want to move Seguin up to eighth (10th on the PIM side).

– Johansen dropped a couple of spots in the wake of the latest news (already captured in my Fantasy Guide). As the days continue to roll by and he remains without a contract, you’ll probably want to drop him significantly further (that will also be captured in the Guide as I update it).

– Biggest names just off both lists – Anders Lee, who for some reason is classed as a center on Yahoo!; Mike Richards, Ryan Strome, Gustav Nyquist, who is also on the RW list; Olli Jokinen, David Desharnais

– Dark horse to consider who did not make this list – Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg), who ranks 80th but could easily surpass the 52 points I have projected for him as well as increase his shots on goal. Moving up from 80th to 50th would not be that hard for him.
