Top DraftKings daily plays for Saturday, April 25.

Top Budget Plays

Centers

Joe Colborne $2,900 –The playoffs are a strange beast when it gets to these elimination games. Sometimes the players that you expect to produce do not and the ones that are kind of forgotten suddenly do. Colborne is one of those players who has been getting top six minutes but has struggled a bit to say the least. There have been some chances, however so maybe there's a shot at this.

John Tavares $9,100 – You look at an elite playoff performer and that does not seem like Tavares right now. Four points in five games is decent but it is just not good enough when defensive depth is in question yet again. Part of it is the fact that the center has to go back and play a lot more defensively than he wants to. The other side of it is that bagel on the power play. You usually do not win series in the playoffs when the power play is that putrid. It is Tavares time or bust now.

Wingers

Alex Ovechkin $9,400 – There is another player that you just expect to break out at some point in this series. Eventually, Ovechkin has to produce to finish the New York Islanders off. Washington does not want this to go to a Game 7 and the left winger will do anything and everything to make sure that it does not happen. Washington is 1 for 10 on the power play in the series and a lot of that has to do with how Johnny Boychuk has shadowed the "Great Eight". Does he break through?

Defensemen

Dennis Wideman $5,900 – Oh there was that feeling that Calgary could actually do this and if they do, Wideman is the play here. Not only does he provide a few blocks here and there but he gets pucks to the net which usually can mean a high assist potential. Say he gets four DraftKings points that should be good enough to equal value ($1500 per DraftKings point). This will be the time for a guy like him to shine and maybe help the Flames advance into Round 2.

Goalie

Ben Bishop $8,500 – This is not an easy play and makes us feel quite uneasy in the stomach but with not knowing which Petr Mrazek we will get, Bishop seems the safer play at home. No one really knows at this stage of Round 1 what performances we may get from some of these goalies. You are basically hoping for the best and praying the worst does not happen. It will be a really hard test for Bishop because he may not see many shots at all and then all of a sudden see a bunch of chances.
