Looking Ahead: Week 5 – Rakell an appealing option

A look at the NHL schedule over the next week, and why Rickard Rakell has more appeal than you think
Rakell has three points in two games since he finally signed with the Ducks. He's playing with Corey Perry and Antoine Vermette (a good short-term waiver option himself). But the Ducks play four times over the next week, one of a handful of teams that do that. But check out who the Ducks will be playing – Calgary, Arizona, Columbus and Carolina. And that puts them almost tied with Detroit for the most favorable seven-day schedule that begins Friday.
There is a five gamer coming up too. Keep an eye on the Bruins, because beginning Monday they will be playing five games in seven days, including Arizona and the (defensively hapless) Avalanche. Maybe that's the kick in the pants the Bruins' skaters not named Brad Marchand or David Pastrnak need to get going!
Also, to hand-pick the date/window you want to look at for teams and their schedule – check out this tool we have for you. Don't forget to bookmark it because it's awesome. And then you'll be wondering why you didn't know about this tool before (it's been there for seven years – feel free to kick yourself!)

Also don’t forget the fact that Rakell might get LW eligibilty, because he is most likely gonna play on wing when Getzlaf is back and now that Richie is injured.
Love these posts, very helpful for many reasons, thanks Dobber!
