Fantasy Hockey Podcast: Early season slumps – do you have enough patience?

Is patience a virtue? This week's episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast is all about the players who are are most likely to be testing your tolerance with early-season slumps. Elan and Brian are here to help you decide whether to grant a stay of execution to these heretofore snoozers, or to cut your losses and move on.

You've been asking all week for permission to let go of several skaters after watching them struggle to score for ten-plus games. Can a new Islander make more of a dent towards gaining back the 134 points sent out the door in the offseason? Is a young Panther centerman able to produce without his left-hand man? Were we fooled by an early-season surge by a perennial tease in St. Louis? Do two of three triplets deserve to survive on your roster? Will a Calgary forward's stat line continue to be as boring as he is?

The guys also examine the other side of the coin, which features a surprising selection of point-per-game players from around the league. Will several Blue Jackets continue lighting the lamp? Can a trio of Rangers possibly crack fifty points with only third line minutes and no power-play time? Did our earlier haste make waste of an opportunity to ride a Chicago center's 11-game point streak? Can a Devils' d-man contend for forty points while barely putting any shots on net? All that, and more, on this week's episode!

Players featured on this episode include Sergei Bobrovsky, Steve Mason, Aleksander Barkov, Jaromir Jagr, Colton Sceviour, Ondrej Palat, Tyler Johnson, Paul Stastny, Jaden Schwartz, Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Michael Frolik, Derek Stepan, Poor Torey Krug, Andrew Ladd, Leon Draisaitl, Loui Eriksson, Radim Vrbata, Semyon Varlamov, Calvin Pickard, Jake Allen, Alexander Wennberg, Nick Foligno, Zach Werenski, Damon Severson, Yohann Auvitu, Artem Anisimov, Marian Hossa, JT Miller, Kevin Hayes, Michael Grabner, Marcus Johansson, Rickard Rakell, Dennis Seidenberg,, Alec Martinez, Jake Muzzin, Cal Clutterbuck, Evander Kane, David Backes, David Krejci, Conor Sheary, Niklas Kronwall, Mike Green, Carl Hagelin and more.

An 82 minute slumper-cast with no mention of McKinnon?! Aside from that awesome work!
