DFS Tuesday: Breakout Game for Hughes, Bratt, and the New Jersey Devils

The season has started, and some teams have outperformed expectations (Boston, Vegas, Philly), while others have laid the proverbial eggs (Vancouver, Minnesota, Ottawa). Trust me, no team will be 82-0 or 0-82 by mid-April, so those deep breathing exercises might be warranted.
For today's matchups, I'm choosing to focus on the New Jersey Devils. Two truly awful contests against the Flyers and Red Wings, and they're better than they've shown. The pitchforks are already out for Lindy Ruff's job – TWO GAMES, seriously! In my most extensive (most categories) fantasy league, only Dawson Mercer at #262 is within the top-300 ranked players. This ends tonight.
My DFS lineup calls for the Jack Hughes ($23) breakout, with Jesper Bratt ($21) and Dougie Hamilton ($16) the beneficiaries, along with a rebound performance by MacKenzie Blackwood ($21) against an Anaheim team on the back end of a road B2B. Add in Steven Stamkos ($34) and Mikhail Sergachev ($17) against Philly, and two Oilers' first-liners – no, not THAT one – in Evander Kane ($26) and Kailer Yamamoto ($12), and hmm…. I have just $24 left for my second goaltender – choosing Stuart Skinner ($27) to complete the Edmonton mini-stack.
Last week I went 50%, and I'm ahead a whopping $3.50, so don't spend grocery money here, but have a great night with the 8-game schedule.
