Good dayto all! So, I don't know about everyone else, but was on puck overdrive on Tuesday with how many lineups went out. Decent return, but last night was a close the laptop early night and ended up watching a movie with my wife. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire because as big of a reader as I am (currently reading the Wax Pack by Brad Balukjian and its 10/10 entertaining), I never finished the Potter books and didn't really catch many of the movies. Tonight, though is an entertaining slate that I'm either watching some games or going onto the next Harry Potter movie…Harry Potter and the um…Protocol for COVID-19 & Infectious Diseases?

Minnesota Wild
I love the fancy stats that hockey presents, just as much as sometimes just looking at the standings helps you determine where to go in DFS. For me though, I like to watch the games, and I've always felt that stats are awesome, but eye test helps reinforce what the numbers say. During the season, NHL teams are going to show you what they are, and when they do,sotake note. I feel like Columbus is lucky to have won their last game out against Anaheim and that the Jackets are too…I'll go with "rigid" in the way that they play. This was evident with how fast and free flowing the Ducks were and are on most nights. For that reason, I'm in on Minnesota tonight, and if that's the case then it's top-line or nothing. As much as I would want a Yakov Trenin – Vladimir Trasenko two-man for some depth, this is a Wild top line that is going to skate together at all strengths going into a pretty favorable road matchup. I'd say I'm probably just on the single-entry train tonight and can see myself enteringthe top line and finding some fillers later on in this slate. If you want to add in Quinn Hughes into your Wild mix as well, I'm fine with that so long as your filler stack or stacks make sense with your build.
Washington Capitals
Minnesota scored on their very first shot of the game against the Capitals on Tuesday and the Caps just looked flat from then on out. It's kind of like if your morning is rubbish, if the first couple hours of the day are tough then you're just off on the wrong foot. Still, they're going up against aToronto MapleLeafs team that had three things happen to them last game out against my Chicago Blackhawks: Got booedoff the ice by the Scotiabank crowd, couldn't manage the run of the play with a loaded Auston Matthews top line, and luckily won by a bad 'Hawks penalty and defensive mess up off a draw. With that, give me the Capitals and I like what Washington offers us tonight, and that's flexibility on where you want to go. If you want an Alex Ovechkin – Dylan Strome two-man, I'm here for it. Tom Wilson – Alexei Protas, that's also fine. Even if you need some depth options, I'm willing to roster a Sonny Milano – Ethan Frank two-man stack. You can pair any of these with a Capitals defensemen and right there you have a nice two-forward, single D build to go along with a three forward stack elsewhere. The Capitals are excellent at even strength, so I don't think powerplay correlation is dire for this matchup, and where you go depends on price. In single or multipleentries, the Capitals are a goodoption tonight.
Seattle Kraken
The Kraken looked awesome on Tuesday night against the Avalanche. Aesthetically and on the ice come to think of it. I'm not really a sweater connoisseur, but the Kraken home ones are awesome. If Seattle didn't have a horrific PK, they may be better off in the standings than they are now. Well, that and not being tied for the most goals given up in the first period along with Nashville. For DFS they've always been difficult because of their line construction and power play correlation. Still, I have interest in the second line of Mason Marchment – Matty Beniers – Jordan Eberle, and honestly if you want to make it a two-man stack and drop Marchment I can get behind that. This team is going to go up against a Calgary Flames squad that gives up a good number of chances and if I need a filler stack this is the direction that I would go.
Defensemen
The top dogs are the top dogs again, I'm all good rostering Quinn Hughes ($7,200), Jake Sanderson ($6,500) and Rasmus Dahlin ($6,300). Any of these three options makes for a great play if you're building a one expensive – one cheap, defensive duo tonight. In the middle of the road, I don't mind Justin Faulk at $4,600 who has been shooting more as of late, or Darnell Nurse at $4,400 who has been shooting a lot as of the entire season. For a cheap defenseman, Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been impressive to me lately, and is priced at $3,500. I don't mind plugging him in as a cost-saving option.
Goalies
If you came here to read all about goaltenders then you may be out of luck…I only have three written down tonight that I have any interest in rostering. Just one of those slates! My spend-up at $8,300 would be Andrei Vasilevskiy who will be in a good matchup against a Kings club that is on a back-to-back. Either Minnesota goaltender is a good option at $7,900 as whoever gets the start seemingly gets a shutout every third start– there's your Jennings winning tandem right there, folks. For a cheaper option, I don't mind whichever starter gets the nod for Toronto at $7K if you're not playing any Capitals tonight.
Good luck tonight everybody!
