Capped: Rostering Arvidsson, Mantha, and Schenn For a Final Fantasy Title Push

Welcome back, everyone, and happy championship week! For roughly half of fantasy leagues, this is the final push of the season. I still wish ESPN would break out next week so the season could end on a Sunday, but that's just one item on my very long list of complaints with them. Regardless, it's time to spotlight a few players who can help you secure a trophy, some prize money, and of course, bragging rights.
Viktor Arvidsson, RW, Boston Bruins ($4M AAV)
Last week we talked about Pavel Zacha and the value he brings during championship week. This time, we're sticking with Boston's second line and highlighting Viktor Arvidsson—someone I'm watching closely as he helps a manager in my main league chase our league title.
Arvidsson has piled up nine points over the last week, fueled by a Bruins second line that has been feasting on favorable matchups, especially at home. If he's already on your roster, you're in great shape with three more games on tap this week. If not, he's still widely available—around 50% rostered on Fantrax and just 25% on Yahoo. In salary-cap formats, that $4M tag is extremely appealing this late in the season, especially if you're looking to replace an underperformer or someone with a light schedule.
Anthony Mantha, RW, Pittsburgh Penguins ($4.5M AAV)
Anthony Mantha has quietly—very quietly—been one of the more productive fantasy forwards this season, particularly at even strength. He's another player who can give your lineup a late-season boost.
With Bryan Rust listed as day-to-day,Mantha could slide onto the Penguins' top line with Sidney Crosby. Even if he doesn't, he's been effective alongside Evgeni Malkin since Malkin's return. Mantha has five points in his last three games and gets three more opportunities this week, with Pittsburgh playing tonight, Saturday, and Sunday.
Brayden Schenn, C/LW, New York Islanders ($6.5M AAV)
I've had $6.5M tied up in Brayden Schenn all season, and while he won't be helping my team win a championship, he might be able to help yours. I get that adding a $6.5M player this late can be tough, but the Islanders' chaotic, back-and-forth style right now is creating plenty of offensive chances.
Schenn is riding a hot streak with six points in his last three games. While I'd love to see him on the Isles' top line, he still gets solid power-play usage and plays on a high-event second line. Some of that chaos is due to Schenn's defensive play, but in fantasy, we only care about the offense. He's a sneaky add in deeper leagues and carries a slight schedule advantage with the Islanders being one of just four teams playing on Friday. Stay hot, NHL scheduling.
