Playoff races are heating up and injuries are the last thing any NHL team needs. Here are the latest injury updates.


EASTERN CONFERENCE

 

Daniel Paille (concussion) will miss at least two games with a "minimal" concussion.


Adam McQuaid (leg) will miss another two-to-three weeks with a nagging quad injury.


Alexander Sulzer (lower body) will miss one-to-two weeks with a lower body injury.


Chris Stewart (ankle) will miss three-to-five weeks with a high ankle season.


John-Michael Liles (concussion) is out indefinitely with a concussion.


Justin Faulk (upper body) returned to practice on Wednesday and is a game time decision for Thursday's game.


Ryan Murray (knee) will miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing knee surgery last week.


Fedor Tyutin (ankle) might play Saturday as his ankle has improved dramatically; according to Columbus Blue Jackets head coach Todd Richards.


Tomas Jurco (ribs) could miss two-to-four weeks with a rib injury.


Jimmy Howard (flu) will start the game on Friday after missing the last game with the flu.


Joakim Andersson (foot) will miss at least two weeks with a broken foot.


Jonas Gustavsson (groin) returned to practice on Thursday but left the ice partway through.


Darren Helm (upper body) will miss another week with possible concussion-like symptoms. He is experiencing migraine headaches and vision problems.


Stephen Weiss (groin) went to Philly to see his doctor who performed his hernia surgery. He has pain from scar tissue and the Red Wings are hoping for "good news" in seven-to-10 days.

 

Sean Bergenheim (lower body) will miss Thursday's game.

 

Jesse Winchester (lower body) will miss one week with lower body injury.


Erik Gudbranson (knee) will likely only miss two weeks, as knee injury wasn't as bad as first thought.


Josh Gorges (hand) will miss four weeks after having surgery on his fractured hand.


Carey Price (lower body) should be back in net this weekend.


Michael Grabner (concussion) is out indefinitely with a concussion.


Cody Ceci (ear) got nine stiches behind his ear after taking a Shea Weber shot to the head. He will be a game time decision on Saturday.


Craig Anderson (shoulder) still experiencing discomfort in his chest and shoulder, will know more Friday if he is playing this weekend.


Clarke MacArthur (hand) is taking part in practice and is expected to return Saturday.


Zac Rinaldo (upper body) will be ready to return Saturday.


Ray Emery (groin) is healthy and could play Saturday.

Kris Letang (illness) began his recovery.


Paul Martin (hand) is out another two-to-four weeks as he continues to recover from a broken hand.


Chris Conner (hand) will be out another four-to-six weeks with a broken foot, which he suffered while blocking a shot during practice.


Beau Bennett (wrist) is back practicing and should be back in the line-up sometime next week.


Tomas Vokoun (pelvis) joined his Pittsburgh Penguins teammates for practice on Thursday.


Sami Salo (lower body) says he is good to go for Thursday's game.


Radko Gudas (lower body) will be back in the line-up Thursday night.


Cody Franson (illness) spent the night in San Jose after getting sick, but is expected to rejoin the Toronto Maple Leafs for game against the Los Angeles Kings Thursday night.


Mikhail Grabovski (lower body) skated at the optional skate on Thursday but left the ice before practice started.

 

Brooks Laich (groin) is listed as day-to-day with a groin injury and trying to manage the pain for the rest of the season.


WESTERN CONFERENCE


Stephane Robidas (leg) is getting healthy and will be making his Anaheim Ducks debut on March 18.


Markus Granlund (shoulder) is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury.


Jiri Hudler (lower body) was back practicing on Wednesday wearing a no-contact jersey.


David Jones (shoulder) is out three-to-four weeks with a shoulder injury.


Marian Hossa (upper body) is out two-to-three weeks with an upper body injury.


P.A. Parenteau (knee) is out four-to-six weeks with a sprained MCL.


Paul Stastny (back) is hopeful for Friday's game against the Ducks.


Rich Peverley (heart) had season ending heart procedure.


Kari Lehtonen (concussion) could join regular practice and would be ready to play; according to Dallas Stars head coach Lindy Ruff.


Niklas Backstrom (abdomen) was back on the ice on Tuesday for morning skate despite being "shutdown for the season" last week.


Josh Harding (MS) was back on the ice prior to morning skate on Thursday, however Minnesota Wild trainers haven't even discussed a rehab plan for him so a return this season seems unlikely.


Martin Hanzal (lower body) remains out and will miss Thursday's game.


Vladimir Sobotka (knee) received clearance from the doctors and will play against the Edmonton Oilers Thursday night.


Ryan Kesler (knee) is heading back to Vancouver to recover from a knee injury he suffered Wednesday night and will miss the rest of the road trip.


Daniel Sedin (hamstring) will not be joining his Vancouver Canucks teammates on current road trip.

 

Mark Scheifele (lower body) is out six-to-eight weeks due to a knee injury.
