Top 100 Rotisserie Players – September 2016

Taking a look at the Top 100 rotisseries players as of September 15, 2016.
****
Fantasy football is back! Which means fantasy hockey is right around the corner.
As usual, the Top 100 Rotisserie Player list comes out on the 15th of each month throughout the season. The September list kicks off the year with a look at the roto value landscape. I’ve been putting together the player values by using some of the free tools provided on the Frozen Pool page of DobberHockey.com.
Player values for my list are weighted over the last 2 seasons to try and determine a player's production consistency. It’s also based on per game averages to account for injuries. Over the course of the season, I’ll be adding in the current production at a steadily increasing value. For this edition of the Top 100, I’ve taken 75% of the players value from last season and 25% the 2014/15 campaign (Sophomore values are last season only with a small multiplier based on projections).
Quick Thoughts:
●Jamie Benn – I think there’s a very good chance he ends up at the top of this list by the end of the year.
●Max Pacioretty – He’s going later in Yahoo leagues so far this year (average pick:45.4). For a guy that puts up SOG like Ovechkin and with a better team around him, he could have top 25 value.
●Boone Jenner – Outside of the top 100 in Yahoo leagues. He has top 50 roto potential this season if he continues to produce across all categories.
●Nick Foligno – If his value ends up somewhere in the middle of his huge 2014/15 season and his letdown 2015/16, he’ll be a top 50 player. The hate has gone too far after last season. He’s outside the top 150 players in ADP.
●Wayne Simmonds – Solid as a rock in all categories.
●Interested in a league? I could always use more fantasy hockey in my life. If anyone wants to get a league together this season, send me a quick message on Twitter (@MikeMcMillanNHL) and I’ll see what we can do.
The categories included in the values are G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, Hits, Blocks and SOG. Remember: This is NOT a points-only ranking, but a ranking for rotisserie and multi-cat leagues. Here is the September Top 100 Roto list to start the fantasy hockey draft season…
