At this point, your league should be in their final matchup of the season to determine who wins the grand prize of bragging rights, your league's trophy, cash prizes, etc, … To those that lost in Round 2, don't feel bad, not every team gets that far so that is an accomplishment in its own. To those that have advanced to the finals, I would like to congratulate you for making it there and try to not stress out about it. At the end of the day, fantasy sports are all for fun and we do it because we love the game so try and enjoy the experience of the finals while you can. You can reflect on the playoffs in the offseason and see what you did right and what you did wrong. Hopefully with the lengthy offseason you can formulate some more strategies to take with you into the next season.

The championships are some of the most nail-biting experiences that I have faced, but they are also some of the most enjoyable. I'm here to share with you some of the guys that are worth looking at adding to your team to help you close out the season.

* The championships that my leagues have run during the last two weeks of the regular season, yours may be different, so please make sure you know your own format before taking any sort of advice from anybody! *

* Not done in a particular order, the positions come from the official NHL website and your leagues may have players listed differently, so make sure you pay attention as to what positions are listed on your platforms before making any transactions! *

* For the 'Powerplay' and 'Shorthanded' sections in the stat tables, it is saying how many powerplay and how many shorthanded points that they have, not goals. Just to clarify! *

#1) Brayden McNabb – D – Vegas Golden Knights

Contract: $2.5M – 1 Year remaining (Extended for $2.85M for 3 years starting next season)

This is mainly for those that play in leagues that score by categories, as Brayden McNabb is not a point-heavy player. McNabb can offer you a very safe floor in both hits and blocks, currently he is second in the NHL in the blocks department. When you look at the other guys in the top five in blocks you will notice that McNabb has played between 4-13 less games than the guys around him. When it comes to hits and blocks, in his last 10 games he has 30 hits and 29 blocks respectively. Pairing those kinds of numbers along with his steady ice time numbers, he is a specialist for peripherals who offers a nice floor, alongside being a cheap addition salary wise. The Golden Knights may be a few points back of being a wild card team, to me that just means that they are going to be willing to go that extra mile to try and win games, and that comes from guys like McNabb who block and hit a bunch to create space and energy for the scoring options that Vegas has. The team plays three games next week, including a back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday. There may be holes in your lineup that you can fill with a player with a solid floor like McNabb.

#2) Mikael Granlund– C – Nashville Predators

Contract: $5M – 4 Years remaining
Roster Percentages: 29.1% ESPN, 36% Yahoo, 65% Fantrax

Currently centering the top line in Nashville between left-winger Filip Forsberg and current right-wing Matt Duchene, the trio has formed a strong line that I don't think anyone really could have predicted to produce the way that they have at times this year. While the salary of $5-million may be a lot to eat at this time of year, he may be one of the best scoring options that are available in your league. Not many players who play first line time, center the top powerplay unit, and start 61.1% of their shifts in the offensive zone are going to be available. Granlund can provide something that others may not be able to when you look at it from a pure quantity standpoint. Being a player that can provide you with powerplay points is always an advantage – if you're in a category scoring league it's one of the more valuable categories as the powerplay points can be hard to find at times. He currently sits one assist back from tying a career-high in that area, his time-on-ice has never been higher in his career, and as a player that is known as a playmaking center, he averages over a hit per game. Mikael Granlund can carry a tremendous amount of value to end the year given his deployment, who he plays with, and the overall ability that he possesses. Let's not forget that at one point he was an elite prospect. While Nashville plays five games (from the time of the release of this article) to finish the season and while they may be against good teams, Nashville hasn't had many issues scoring goals this year, as they have averaged 3.21 goals per game.

#3) Valeri Nichushkin – RW – Colorado Avalanche

Contract: $2.5M – 1 Year remaining (UFA this summer)
Roster Percentages: 39.8% ESPN, 46% Yahoo, 63% Fantrax

At this moment, Nichushkin is slotted in on the top line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, that alone makes him worth rostering no matter what time of year it is. While Gabriel Landeskog is expected to come back soon, he didn't travel with the team for the three-game road trip (starts the 20th and ends on the 24th, three games in that span). As a once-forgotten player, he has made his way back to the NHL and he is thriving as he has hit career highs in goals, assists, points, shots taken, hits, and time-on-ice (per game average) this season. Nichushkin is on the top powerplay unit currently, and while that should change when Landeskog comes back, there is no official date for when he will return, so try and take advantage of that while you can. Worst case is if Landeskog comes back after the road trip concludes, Nichushkin should get bumped down to the second line and play with Nazem Kadri and Andre Burakovsky. Of his 47 points, 36 of them have come from even strength action, this shows that he isn't a main special teams' producer and that he has been a reliable scoring forward throughout the year. With being a point a game player through his last 10 games (5 goals, 5 assists), and amassing 31 shots through that stretch, he carries a lot of value currently across a lot of different areas.

#4) Cody Ceci– D – Edmonton Oilers

Contract: $3.25M – 4 Years remaining
Roster Percentages: 5.8% ESPN, 8% Yahoo, 16% Fantrax

Similar to McNabb, Ceci should be viewed as a player that can provide a nice floor for his ability to put up hits and blocks, unfortunately at this time of year it is pretty hard to find defenders who can really make a big impact on the scoresheet, so this is when you have to be creative and find the players that offer you different things to help bolster the harder to come by areas. Ceci ranks fifth on his team in hits, second on the team in blocks, and when it comes to his average time-on-ice he ranks fourth on the team. While being paired with Darnell Nurse on the top pairing, expect him to be on the ice when the better players are playing. This is a player that can randomly chip in on the scoresheet because of who is on the team, players like Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Evander Kane, and others can help boost Ceci's offensive numbers in random moments. While he only has 3 shorthanded points this year, he is currently slotted in on the top penalty kill line along with Zach Hyman and Kailer Yamamoto. Those are a couple of players with some offensive instincts that may be able to burn a team with their willingness to forecheck, so he may end up getting on the scoresheet while on the penalty kill at a moment's notice. Edmonton also has a favorable schedule to end the year, they play a combination of Columbus, San Jose, and Vancouver in the last week. Two of those games come on the last two days of the season in a back-to-back, so he may be able to safely fill a roster spot on those days.

Before I start talking about DeSmith, I just have to say that I am sorry for all of the Tristan Jarry owners out there. Having a player of that caliber go down for what should be until after the fantasy season is over is definitely rough. DeSmith is a guy that should now be seen as their starting goaltender for the remainder of the season, being a starting goalie on its own carries tremendous value, especially when you play for the Pittsburgh Penguins. While DeSmith doesn't have the best record or stats at this moment, he will be seeing an increase in time and odds are if you're like me and have had very inconsistent goaltending all year from the 'popular' names you may need a change in net. Something that caught my eye about DeSmith is that the Penguins have a pretty good schedule to end the year, playing five times total against Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia, Edmonton, and Columbus. I can see them winning the last five games of the year and being able to bring in a goalie who should get the bulk of the starts to get him ready for Game 1 of the playoffs, and who may be able to throw together a couple wins can really help seal the deal in that category, or even add a few extra points to your totals.

*Honorable Mentions*

* Anthony Mantha, Martin Fehervary, Paul Stastny, Dylan Strome, Ryan Lindgren, Jaden Schwartz (if healthy), Matthew Boldy, Jacob Middleton, Ross Colton, Alexander Kerfoot, Travis Sanheim*

I wish you all the best of luck in the finals, you're going to need it! Just try and enjoy the moment while you can, you never know when you're going to be back to the finals. Try and learn some things from this last series of the year, even if you do win there are still things you can take away from it.
