En entrant dans la saison 2008-09, les Bruins avaient Zdeno Chara comme défenseur, Marc Savard comme attaquant-étoile et ils espéraient que Patrice Bergeron allait récupérer de sa commotion afin d’être le deuxième marqueur de l’équipe.
