Please take a look at the evolving Goalie Post site - the starting goalie grid is now set up on the front (free section) page. Get an idea of what it will look like. If you are in a league that requires daily transactions, you would LOVE to sign up for the email alerts. [...]

The Jackets have locked up Fedor Tyutin for six years. The cap hit for the deal is about $4.5 million. Solid defenseman... but six years? Ties into my point below regarding Columbus and the roster turnover very well...   Some not so great news out of Edmonton – Ryan Whitney has re-aggravated the foot [...]

LV

In a little over one week, I’ll be heading off to Vegas for some fun. One reason I am heading down is to meet up with several members of the Ultimate Fantasy Pool – a keeper league that uses head-to-head scoring. I have been in the league for two years now, and it features some stiff competition (all of our league members read this site, and one is among the regular columnists).

Over the next few weeks, I am going to introduce the league and each of the 12 teams to the DobberHockey readers. The final four teams today – Wu Crew (Jake), Fire on Ice (Bill), and Las Vegas Thunder (Bret).

An interesting read on Claude Lemieux’s new role in the hockey world – he’s been working with a few clients of Rich Winter, most notably Cody Hodgson.   I am cautiously optimistic regarding Hodgson this year. There have been many reports of an improved relationship with the team (whatever issues were there appear to [...]

Dobber is taking the week off as he takes a vacation, so you are stuck with me until next Sunday.   Fantasy Guide will be updated today. The Goalie Rankings will be updated tomorrow as well. And then of course there was yesterday’s launch of a new iPhone app – Dobber’s Draft Buddy.   Please [...]

Some exciting news down the pipe today - we have partnered up with the Draft Buddy to bring you Dobber's Draft Buddy App for the iPhone.   The app ranks players according to Dobber's projections, and you can update and change your list with each pick in real time during the draft.   Data [...]

An interview with Peter Mueller by Adrian Dater. Mueller has so much offensive upside, I really hope he can get the concussion issues behind him. He’d likely skate on the top unit with Duchene and Hejduk/Jones.   I’d put Landeskog with Stastny. Colorado’s top six has the potential to be pretty good, but aside [...]
