My thoughts on McDavid vs. Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Patrik Laine, Calvin Pickard and much more … *** A huge event last night had the entire world watching to see who would win. That event was, of course, the first NHL game between Sidney Crosby’s team and Connor McDavid’s team. The head-to-head battle showed Sid’s [...]
My thoughts on the Pickard vs. Varlamov situation. And much more … *** It’s getting close to that time when Calvin Pickard begins cannibalizing starts from Semyon Varlamov. We’re always looking for a goalie to help our fantasy team because they’re only a small number of decent players who play that position and can actually [...]
A look at the NHL schedule over the next week, and why Rickard Rakell has more appeal than you think Rakell has three points in two games since he finally signed with the Ducks. He's playing with Corey Perry and Antoine Vermette (a good short-term waiver option himself). But the Ducks play four times [...]
Rambling about Condon, Andersen, Anderson, Hayes and more … *** My take on the Craig Anderson/Mike Condon situation is this. Anderson obviously needs to spend time with his wife. I think if Condon plays well (um…so far so good), then Anderson will be taking a couple of weeks off at minimum. But this of course [...]

Rambling about the Florida Panthers surprises; Tyler Ennis; Hot/Cold players and more … *** Look at Florida’s scoring list and you’ll be surprised by everything you see. Jonathan Marchessault is surprise as the leading scorer (11 points in nine games), even though I told you the following back on October 10 as well as in [...]
Rambling about the Kid, Marchessault, Eriksson-Ek, Hall, Neuvirth vs. Mason and more … *** Sidney Crosby returned to the Pittsburgh lineup and made his 2016-17 debut Tuesday. And if you didn’t know that, then you probably clicked on the wrong website by accident – only fantasy hockey owners come here. So Crosby returned and he [...]
Rambling about Larsson, Larsen, Panik, Beauvillier, McDonagh, Rieder and more … *** The Oilers, the team of the future that most fantasy owners gave up on, continue to roll and Cam Talbot seems to have his act together now too. After his 31-save shutout Sunday he’s 5-1-0 with a 0.919 SV% and just like that [...]
